Magnetic, year-round exterior insulation for the cab windows in VW Crafter 2, Grand California 600 and 680, MAN TGE (from 2017), which provides ideal cold protection especially in the cold season and prevents condensation on the window pane.
Our magnet exterior insulation is suitable all year round as professional thermal insulation, blackout and privacy protection. Especially in winter, it prevents cold from outside penetrating the vehicle unhindered and heat from the interior escaping too quickly. This is mainly achieved by the closed-cell foam core (extreme insulator).
In summer, the exterior insulation optimally shields the interior from sunlight and heat from outside, thereby preventing the greenhouse effect in the vehicle. The result is a pleasantly cool interior compared to the outside temperature. The temperature difference can be more than 10 degrees.
Who doesn't know the problem? During a cold night, condensation forms on the inside of the glass. This happens when the warm indoor air in the camper cools against the much colder glass and the moisture present in the air in the form of vapour condenses. Before the trip can continue, the windscreen must first be wiped dry. Thanks to the exterior insulation, heat loss at the glass is significantly reduced, so that condensation no longer forms on the glass.
The Magnet exterior insulation is custom-made for the window pane and is attached magnetically to the bodywork. To secure it to the windscreen, both wipers are additionally folded onto the insulation and the sewn-in straps are placed around the door handles on the driver and passenger side and tightened. The straps of the side exterior insulations are attached to the mirror arms. In addition, all exterior insulations have large plastic eyelets that offer an individual attachment option in strong wind.
