If there is no interior rear-view mirror, metal pads are glued to the window pane or plastic housing. They serve as attachment points for the centre part of the thermal mat.

For very few models, metal pads are additionally glued to the plastic trim of the A-pillars to secure the front mat.
Lay the thermal mat out flat on the dashboard and guide it towards the window pane, starting from the middle.
Open the cut and secure it to the mirror arm using the magnetic lock. If there is no interior rear-view mirror, the front mat is attached magnetically to the glued anchor points (magnetic pads).
Lower the sun visors
For optimal fit, smooth the thermal mat in the direction of the A-pillars and allow the ends on the left and right to hang into the vehicle interior. The thermal mat is deliberately made larger than the clear opening of the windscreen, as the material will slightly shrink due to sun heat.
